Draft Report Cards: AFC South

AFC South:

Houston Texans- B
Houston's defense got a whole lot better, adding Jadeveon Clowney and Louis Nix to play alongside J.J. Watt. The offensive side of the ball improved as well, adding guard Xavier Su'a-Filo and tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz. Bill O'Brien chose to wait until the fourth round to draft a quarterback, selecting Tom Savage over more proven quarterback prospects like A.J. McCarron, Zach Mettenberger, and Aaron Murray.

Indianapolis Colts- C-
The Colts only had five draft picks and traded their first rounder to Cleveland last year for Trent Richardson. Jack Mewhort was an alright choice, but I'm not so sure how he'll fit at guard. Donte Moncrief was a good choice but overall, they could have made more out of their draft class.

Jacksonville Jaguars- A-
I'm telling you, Gus Bradley is turning this team around. There's something about defensive-minded head coaches. Anyways, he shocked the world when he chose Blake Bortles with the number three overall pick. And the best part about that selection was that they drafted talent to put around him, drafting wide receivers Marqise Lee and Allen Robinson. And, of course, Gus Bradley added good players to his defense, too.

Tennessee Titans- C+
On paper, the Titans now boast one of the league's best offensive lines after adding tackle Taylor Lewan. Ken Whisenhunt got great value in the sixth round with the selection of Zach Mettenberger. The decisions to draft Bishop Sankey instead of Carlos Hyde or Jeremy Hill and not to select a cornerback had significant impacts on this grade.
