Each Team's 2013 Breakout Player: AFC West

Broncos: Ronnie Hillman- Even though the Broncos drafted Montee Ball in the second round this year, I think Denver will use both he and Ronnie Hillman in a running back by committee approach. Ball is a north-south, between the tackles type of back. Hillman is smaller and quicker and is more adept in pass protection. The heavy increase in touches in his second year spells "breakout" for Hillman.
Other candidates: Chris Harris, Rahim Moore, and Julius Thomas
Chargers: Kendall Reyes- Selected in the second round last year, Reyes was impressive in his rookie season. He played in all 16 games, starting four of them. He recorded 17 tackles and 5.5 sacks. He'll be a full time starter in in 2013 and by the end of the season, should be considered one of the best young defensive ends in the league.
Other candidates: Ryan Mathews and Vincent Brown
Chiefs: Dexter McCluster- With offensive minded Andy Reid in his first season as Chiefs head coach, I expect McCluster to benefit greatly. He's very versatile and can make plays when he gets the ball. Reid as already made it known that he has big plans for McCluster this year.
Other candidates: Justin Houston, Jonathan Baldwin, and Dontari Poe
Raiders: Rod Streater- After going undrafted last year, Streater signed with the Raiders and was one of the most productive rookie wide receivers of the year. He was a rare bright spot on a lousy Raiders team. Heading into his second season, Streater looks primed to start opposite Denarius Moore, and with consistent quarterback play, put up big numbers.
Other candidates: Lamarr Houston, Marcel Reece, Matt Flynn, Nick Roach, and Usama Young
